Hedges Dam Upgrade

Project Overview

Hedges Dam Upgrade project is located at the Boddington Mine Site and operated by Newmont. The remediation of the dam was necessary to ensure the storage facility met Newmont’s dam safety standards.

Ertech was contracted to undertake the remedial works. The works involved the expansion of the downstream buttress, relocation of the spillway and valve pit, decommissioning of the existing pump station, reconstruction of the outlet works, and instrumentation installation.

Hedges Dam is the second dam upgrade in as many years that Ertech has undertaken for Newmont.
