Declan Tobin wins CCF Project Manager of the Year award.
CCF WA Project Manager Award
Congratulations to Project Manager, Declan Tobin on securing the 2021 WA Project Manager of the Year at the CCF Industry & Training Awards.
Declan has always been a winner in Ertech’s eyes so this award is well deserved. His quiet determination earns him the respect of everyone he works with. While his most recent project had its challenges, Declan delighted the client and exceeded key project goals. Innovation and ingenuity were central to the project’s success. We’re proud to have Declan on the Ertech team!
Declan is pictured below at the awards dinner, with Frank Johnston and David Della Bona from CCF WA.
Declan took on the management of the D6 Water Storage Dam for Newmont at the Boddington Gold Mine.
The D6 water storage dam provides security of water supply to the Boddington Gold Mine. Ertech’s experience in delivering similar large-scale water storage facilities supported the team to secure the project.
In addition to some technical challenges the project delivery timeframe aligned with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had the potential to impact the program and budget.
Declan’s strong leadership and technical competence enables the team to overcome the challenges. The team exceeded all project goals which included completing the project two months ahead of program and achieving zero recordable injuries.
