Description
This project involved the redevelopment of the Churchlands campus of Edith Cowan University and included the full demolition and remediation of the University. The project contained a number of sensitive issues that required careful management by Ertech including:
- Proximity of existing residents and primary school
- Existing mature tree retention and relocation
- Large scale demolition and remediation
- High quality of workmanship
The project included the following:
- Development of 30 residential lots and siteworks to an additional 150 lots.
- Demolition of 24 University buildings including large lecture theatres.
- Demolition of 36,700m² of existing pavement which was recycled and/or re-used.
- Decommissioning and removal of 12km of existing services.
- Removal of over 100t of asbestos.
- Dust and emission monitoring.
- Retention of over 100 large mature trees during operations.
