Ertech Construction Academy
Ertech has developed an innovative training academy to provide young people with a pathway into the civil construction industry. The initiative, driven and underwritten by Ertech, has support from education and industry leaders.
The Ertech Construction Academy provides students enrolled in Year 11 and 12 the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised Certificate I and Certificate II qualifications in Resources and Infrastructure Operations through on site training and workplace experience whilst still attending high school.
The Ertech Construction Academy has been successful in that graduates from every year have found immediate employment (with approximately half engaged by Ertech). Of those, more than 75% remain employed in the civil construction industry.
Through the Ertech Construction Academies in Perth and Broome, we have trained, mentored and provided career opportunities to many young graduates.
Ertech is a leader in the training and development of young indigenous people.
In 2010, Ertech was awarded the Indigenous Trainer of the Year by the Civil Contractors Federation - a testament to our committment to the training and engagement of indigenous people.
