Environmental & Remediation
Ertech has adapted its capabilities to suit a range of environmental projects that in many cases, offer "Total Solutions". This means that Ertech can draw on its broad range of skills to manage and construct the project from start to finish.
Applications include:
- Applying Ertech's skills in bulk earthworks, geosynthetic lining and pipelines for tailings storage facilities, evaporation ponds and landfill sites.
- Undertaking demolition of structures, pavements and services, removal of contaminated material, cap and replace with clean fill.
- Stabilisation of eroded surfaces
Projects of Note Include:
- Edith Cowan University, Churchlands Campus Redevelopment - included demolition of 24 campus buildings, 40,000m2 of pavement which was recycled and reused, asbestos and other contaminant removal including Class I, III and IV waste. Significant mature trees were also maintained
- Ravensthorpe Nickel Project - All bulk earthworks and 2,300,000m2 geosynthetic lining for a total 18 evaporation ponds, tailings dams and settling ponds
- Red Hill Waste Management Facility - 8 layer lining system to 80,000m2 of walls and floors for Class III and IV waste storage cells
- Edith Cowan University, Mt Lawley Campus - Student Housing Site Remediation - including building demolition, pavement and service removal and excavation and removal of Class III and IV waste together with sand and geotextile capping
- Tamala Park Landfill - Works comprised 1,600,000m3 bulk excavation, 17,000m2 1.5mm HDPE liner including 1.1m filter and aggregate layers, 314,000m2 pavement and 1.5km of associated pipework.
