Our History

1981
On 13 September, 1981 Ertech commenced business.

1983
Two contracts were acquired within a week of one another that collectively amounted to twice the previous annual income.

1987
The original partnership was dissolved in December 1987 when Jim Giumelli took control and a steady expansion phase commenced.

1991
The workload had declined in 1990 and staff were laid off but a fortuitous tender enable retrenched staff to be reinstated and subdivision work expanded.

1994
In 1994/95 we got involved in doing landscaping work and won the first contract with Main Roads Western Australia.

1996
In early 1996 BHP called us to quote on a minor water reticulation tender at Finucane Island which subsequently resulted in further work for BHP and work for other clients in the Port Hedland area.

1999
In 1999 Sean King was promoted to General Manager and construction of the head office building at Enterprise Park, Wangara commenced.

2003
In 2003 Frank Cosoleto was promoted to the position of Managing Director.

2004
Work at Ravensthorpe Nickel Project commenced with a $10 million contract but with extensions and other contracts this grew to over $150 million.

2006
Ertech's largest single tender, Boddington Gold Mine expansion Tailings Dam worth $30 million was completed in May 2007. Ertech acquired a 60% share of FormAction Concrete Civils Pty Ltd. Turnover for the year ended 30 June increased to $136 million, up from $81 million the previous year.

2007
Ertech acquired Grove Turf Construction Pty Ltd. A new record turnover of $208 million for the financial year ended 30 July.
