KEY POINTS OF INTEREST

  • Our submission provided an alternative option, utilising a temporary bailey bridge to span the Heavy Haulage Bridge, which means that the bridge could remain in service during repairs and removed the need for night works.
  • Ertech included the use of a third party engineering consultancy BG&E to determine the feasibility of vehicles crossing the bridge while under repair and to check the sequence of works and carry out inspections during the works.
