SCOPE

The upgrade included the installation of new traffic lights at the Wentworth Parade intersection, an upgrade of the existing traffic lights at the Midgegooroo intersection, widening of the Kwinana Freeway south bound off-ramp, street lighting, retaining walls and drainage.

Works included:

  • Clearing existing trees and vegetation works
  • Demolition of existing kerbs, footpaths, asphalt, service pits, pipes, conduits, bus stop and road signage
  • Foundation works for road and embankment and construction of new batter slopes
  • Road widening
  • Pavement construction
  • Sealing works including double coat seal and asphalt seal
  • Civil works including modification of existing and construction of new traffic islands, new kerbs, tactile pavers, pram ramps and brick paving works
  • Electrical and communication works including conduits, cabling works, pits, lighting poles and luminaires, and CCTV camera with fibre optic connection
  • Relocation works including existing street lighting poles, bus stop, advertising panel, and guardrails
  • New traffic signals at Beeliar Drive / Wentworth Parade intersection
  • Traffic signal modifications at Beeliar Drive / Shopping Centre Access / Midgegooroo Avenue intersection
  • Drainage works including reinforced concrete pipe, manhole and side entry pits
  • Landscaping works
