The Christmas Creek 2 Iron Ore Project consisted of:

  • Construction of a coarse ore stockpile
  • Construction of 8 series conveyors (1101, 1102, 1103, 1202, 1502, 2501, 2502, 3501 series)
  • Construction of a desands building
  • Construction of a jigging plant area
  • Construction of 8 MCC Rooms
  • Construction of a primary crusher (located approximately 7km from the main work front)
  • Construction of a screening building
  • Construction of a secondary/tertiary crushing area
  • Associated with the construction of these structures is the supply and installation of formwork, reinforcement steel, and install only of concrete, cast-in items and hold down bolts
  • Grouting in relevant areas


  • Successful use of panel system at the Primary Crusher opposed to conventional stick formwork.


  • Poured 1,128m3 for the COS foundation which was Ertech’s largest single pour at the time.
