Perth airport is undergoing a $1 billion redevelopment program which included the construction of an architecturally-designed and landscaped Terminal 1 forecourt plaza.

Ertech’s scope of works was split into three separable portions, which included:

Separable Portion 1

  • Demolition and disposal of existing pavement and selected above ground infrastructure
  • Removal and relocation of selected airport infrastructure located within the project works
  • Minor earthworks to build up selected areas to design level
  • Temporary construction requirements including pedestrian trafficable footpath and safe bus dwelling
  • Installation of T2 canopies linking to T2 bus station
  • Installation of pay-stations, smarte-lockers, all services, lighting, CCTV, hard & soft landscaping, final finishes and planting
  • Installation of all required services throughout the forecourt to enable Separable Portion 1 and the temporary bus station to be commissioned
  • Installation of all required below ground services to service the future façade retail, SP2 and SP3

Separable Portion 2

  • Demolition and disposal of existing pavement and selected above ground infrastructure
  • Removal and relocation of selected airport infrastructure located within the project works
  • Minor earthworks to build up selected areas to design level
  • Continued installation of all services to enable full commissioning of all assets, hard and soft landscaping to area east of C Services and facilities to enable PAPL operations to relocated eastern bank of smarte-carte trolleys
  • Completion of Small Charter Vehicle (SCV) car park

Separable Portion 3

  • Demolition and disposal of existing pavement and selected above ground infrastructure
  • Removal and relocation of selected airport infrastructure located within the project works
  • Minor earthworks to build up selected areas to design level
  • Completion of the permanent bus station and ‘town square’ with all assets and fully commissioned
  • Hard and soft landscaping from kerb edge to new terminal façade including final finishes and painting
  • All designed assets across entire forecourt commissioned except for retail fit out  

 This project won the 2017 CCF WA Earth Award in Category 4.
